emergency alerts may be sent to your e-mail address, pager,
cell phone and/or fax by signing up with the Emergency Email
Network at:
www.emergencyemailnetwork.com.
This is a free service supported by sponsors who advertise
on the website. You may sign up to receive alerts on severe
weather information, Homeland Security events, cyber threats
to your computer, organ donation, daily weather forecasts,
routine or Red Cross-sponsored blood drives, and AMBER
Alerts (as available.).
How to
register in your computer/blackberry, cellphone,
digital pager or fax:
1)
Go to www.cepintdi.org.
2)
Move your cursor to "Being Prepared".
3)
Move your cursor to "Basic Preparedness (fact sheets)".
4)
Click "Text Alerts & 9-1-1".
5)
Move your cursor down to
www.emergencyemailnetwork.com
& click on it.
6)
Now you are at the "The Emergency Email & Wireless
Network" website.
7)
Click on your home state.
8)
Go to the list of all counties & click on which county you
live in.
9)
Step 1: Fill out your complete email address,
Fill out your home county, and Fill out your home zip code
(5-digit U.S. zip code)
10) Step
2: Click on "Severe Weather Information"
11)
Step 3: Click on how you would like to receive
your email: (Computer or Blackberry, Cell Phone, Digital
Pager or Fax)
12)
Step 4: Time setting (optional) ~ you can block
all NON Emergency message content during the hours you
specify...this option is useful for pager and wireless
devices.

For setting your TIME ZONE, click on "Central Time"

Move your cursor down to "Add" & click on it.
